Gogebic Community College women's basketball has added a talented and accomplished student-athlete to its roster, as Arcata High School senior Izzy Allen has announced her commitment to continue her playing career with the Samsons.

"Izzy is a very smart and physical center who comes from a great program. She plays the game like a traditional center, something we have been missing at GCC. But other than her play, she is an unbelievably kind and caring person. Every interaction with her or her family have been nothing but positive and motivating. She really flips a switch once she's on the floor. She's had to defend players that are 6'3" and above, and she uses her physicality so well that being undersized wasn't an issue for her. She's very humble and we can't be more excited to get to work with Izzy, she will be an incredible addition to the Samsons Family!"
